about

Peter Croce's REVIVAL originally dropped in 2016. After being sold out for years we decided to reissue it on royal blue vinyl with all new artwork from Gino. Over the years it's been supported by the likes of Mr. Scruff, Underground Resistance, Jamie 3:26, and many more.

More information from Peter below:

"After many requests we’ve reissued my first original 12”, REVIVAL. It features all new artwork from Gino on royal blue vinyl housed in the Rocksteady Disco company jacket v3, pressed with pride on Detroit’s east side.

Right before putting this record out I considered shutting down Rocksteady Disco. I was getting repeatedly screwed by distributors, was having a hard time with my move to Chicago, and just didn’t see what my future was in this game. This record almost quite literally revived the label and my spirits. It has since connected me to strangers and new friends. Some of my favorite DJs in the world play it in their sets. And it set Rocksteady Disco on the right foot for years to come.

The original pressing holds a soft spot in my heart still. The label / I had no money for visual artists or fancy branding, so it’s very simple. But considering the message from Rev. Barber is as relevant as ever I wanted to breathe some new visual life into it. Gino knocked it out of the park."
